Handling children who say they are having a hard time can be difficult on a parent. Read this recently asked question and my response of a new way to look at the situation.

I recently was asked a question by a parent that I think is a really common situation. I hope this new way of looking at this situation helps!

Question: My son, age 6 comes home from school every day in a very negative mood. No matter what I ask him, he says things are awful. I’ve even tried to explain how much harder kids in other countries have it. Any suggestions?

Whether you’re heading to dinner on a luxury cruise or heading into the jungle to retrieve a lost artifact, the traditional fedora will have you going in style. Find out what makes the Indiana Jones fedora unique!

It’s ok.

Really. You’re not alone. There are thousands more people like you. And me.

You want Indiana Jones’ hat.

You don’t have any reason except…well, you want one. If you lived 75 years ago, it wouldn’t even be a question: of course you’d own a hat. And you’d feel naked if you left the house without it.

We live in the age of global communication and connectivity. Could you imagine 10 years ago if you had told someone you’d be sitting in a coffee shop, connected to a world wide network, with no wires connected to your laptop, reading the latest news or even playing a game with your friends?

They would have suggested that you are mad! Fortunately, that is not the case and we do live in a world where global communications are standard and almost everyone has their own permanent connection to the internet via broadband.

Since that long ago day, viral marketing has gone from a marketing strategy to an art form and there are many ways to accomplish the objective of creating a successful viral marketing campaign. Think about how a virus spreads from one person to another. One person gets sick and just by sneezing they can give the virus to many more people… those people get sick and share their germs with everyone they know and the next thing anybody knows is that there is an epidemic. That is the very concept of viral marketing.

The author of a short article that I recently edited truly touched a critical issue. I felt compelled to write about it. That issue affects teenagers and their High School education. In my view, it is critical. You be the judge.

This author is concerned with High School teachers, and the power they have to shape and to sculpt our kids’ future. He questions how good teachers are at teaching. He wonders if teachers are mostly chosen by a college degree, but otherwise ignoring teachers’ abilities to excel at the Teaching-Learning process.
